Signs and Symptoms

The symptoms of overdose can include drowsiness, vomiting, diarrhoeia and vertigo. Cardiac troubles, troubles of function of liver, convulsions and coma were also announced.

From 354 cases of implicating deliberate or accidental overdose fluvoxamine maleate announced, there was 19 dead. 19 dying, 2 were in patients taking fluvoxamine maleate only and conservation 17 were in the patients taking fluvoxamine maleate with other medicaments.

Treatment

If you or somebody whom you know can have used more than the registered dose of this medicine, contact your mission control of local poison or urgent room immediately.

There is no specific antidote as fluvoxamine maleate.

A free airline should be established with the maintenance of breathing as demanded. Essential signs and ECG should be controlled. The administration of charcoal speeded up can be as efficient as emesis or washing and should be considered in the treatment of overdose. As the absorption with overdose can be postponed, measures to minimise absorption can be necessary for post ingestion of till 12 pm.

In managing excessive dose, consider the possibility of participation of numerous medicament.
