Indications and Usage

Luvox (Fluvoxamine Maleate) is pointed out for the treatment of obsessions and of compulsions in the patients with Maniacal Compulsive Riot (OCD).

Maniacal Compulsive Riot is characterised by periodical and persistent ideas, thoughts, impulses or reflects obsessions) which are ego-dystonic and/or repetitive, determined and calculated behaviours compulsions) which are admitted by the person to be excessive or unreasonable.

For the symptomatic relief of depressive illness.

The effectiveness of fluvoxamine maleate for the long-term use, that is to say, for more than 10 weeks, was not systematically assessed in trials controlled by the placebo. Therefore, the doctor who chooses to use fluvoxamine maleate of extended periods should revalue periodically the long-term utility of the medicament for the individual patient.
